Medical Documentation

“Ensuring the quality of our medical documentation is vital to our department to improve our quality of care, ensure reimbursement compliance, and make our charts defensible. This program was critical to accomplish these tasks. Having a presenter that has real-world EMS experience kept the students interested, and many commented on how much they learned from these presentations.” Steven Cohen, Assistant Director of EMS, Jersey City Medical Center EMS

Keavney & Streger is proud to offer effective and efficient provider-level medical documentation training. Our unique program addresses clinical documentation, reimbursement issues, and documenting for legal protection, as well as addressing cultural issues relevant to documentation. There is also an extensive discussion of competence, capacity, and consent in the context of EMS treatment. We offer different programs customized to your department’s specific electronic medical records program.

This two-hour program can be brought to your agency and offered to all providers, regardless of level, and offered as initial education during orientation, as a comprehensive program to improve service level in a department, or as refresher training. We also welcome the opportunity to share this program among local agencies as part of the process. This program meets your agency’s fraud and abuse training requirement from the Office of Inspector General.
